What’s the difference between a Collective artist and a silent contractor?
Collective artists have their own page on our website and feature on our social channels regularly. They have marketing created for their art directly and are priority booked. Silent contractors take on jobs under our banner, on an overflow bases. They tend to have their own business but are open to taking on more jobs if needed.
Do I need to handle my own marketing?
We manage marketing, social media, and client communications so you can focus on painting. We are happy to encourage our to share your work on your own channels as well, but this is not a requirement. We even arrange professional shoots for you to have great images.
What kind of support do I get from the collective?
Access to experienced artists, guidance on live events, and help with materials, logistics, and workflows. We do all the contracts, logistics, client communication and packaging. We also fund open days and expo’s, and can provide access to courses if needed.
How are artists paid?
Collective artists receive a generous profit share, including all expenses handled by us. Silent contractors receive a competitive profit share per job.
Do I need my own website or social media?
Being part of the collective covers your exposure and promotion. This is through website, online advertising, online registries and more.
How often will I get work?
Work is offered based on availability and client bookings. Featured artists may get more frequent opportunities; silent contractors are scheduled as needed. We aim to match clients to their preferred painters, and work around painters schedules.
Can I choose which jobs I take?
Yes! You can let us know your availability and preferences, and we’ll match you with suitable jobs.
What materials do I need to bring?
We’ll advise for each job. Most materials and equipment are provided or coordinated by the collective.
Can I still take on my own clients?
Absolutely! You can continue your personal work alongside the collective opportunities.
