What is studio portrait?
Our in studio portraits are exactly the same as our live paintings, except we paint them in our studio from reference images you send us. This takes away the live element, reducing costs but also making it more accessible for art when you do not have an event.
How long does the painting take to complete?
We book you in for a starting month or week, and depending on our work flow, this can be as short as 2 weeks, or as long as 4 months, depending on your deadline, framing queues and work load. It’s why we ask for your deadline date, so we can make sure we can fit it into your timeline.
I don’t have everyone in one photo, can you paint from a few photos?
Absolutely! We often merge a few photos together to create the painting that you want. From adding family members, trees and plants that haven’t grown yet, lots of pets together. That’s why art is so great, we can do whatever your imagination dreams of.
Do they all come framed?
No. We have a variety of options to choose from, and depending on the option chosen, will depend on the framing. But you can always upgrade to framing if you have chosen a package without it.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as soon as you know you would like a painting, as during peak season, we can be away from the studio at events, which will slow down the studio progress.
How much does studio painting cost?
Pricing varies depending on the size of the canvas and any customisations. We also have different prices for each artist, so it’s best to send through an enquiry.
Can I choose my artist?
Yes, at the Collective, we like to match clients with their preferred artist so they come out with a painting they love. If your artist is unavailable for your time frame, we can work with you to find the best solution.
Can I have a consultation to go over any questions I have?
Of course! You can schedule in a call with your preferred artist, to chat about the process, your questions and make sure you’re both have the same vision.
