You might know our artists from weddings and events across Australia, but there’s another key person working quietly behind the scenes at Live Artist Collective Team: Alex! She’s the warm, efficient, often cheeky voice behind your emails, the brains behind our marketing, and the organisational queen making sure our artists get to the right venue, at the right time, with the right brushes.
We thought it was high time you officially met her. So, we asked Alex the same questions we ask our artists (plus a few extras) so you can get to know the powerhouse behind the Collective.
If you weren’t doing this for a job, what would you be doing?
Probably something still creative but behind the scenes — maybe working in publishing, or running a niche bookshop/art cafe hybrid.
Cat or dog?
Cat person at heart but I moonlight as a dog walker, so let’s say both!
Tea or coffee?
Coffee. Always. Often. Immediately.
Favourite song you hear at weddings or events?
A good dose of Jazz or R&B always makes me happy. Something classic and smooth.
Song you hate hearing at events?
Anything ABBA lol
Dream event location to paint at (or support painting at)?
Somewhere coastal and dreamy like Byron or the Amalfi Coast. With Aperol involved.
What’s your go-to colour (in marketing)?
A soft blush pink or classic olive green. Anything that feels elegant and timeless.
What’s one thing people don’t realise about the Collective?
That we put so much heart into every booking. It’s not just an admin machine; we really care about making each couple feel seen and special.
Favourite part of your job?
Getting messages from couples saying how blown away they were. Or watching our artists thrive with a packed-out calendar.
How did you join the Live Artist Collective Team?
I’ve been friends with Poppy since forever, and while I don’t paint, I live and breathe this business like it’s my own artform. You can even catch some of our behind-the-scenes chaos and creativity over on our TikTok.
Fun fact about you?
I’m a mum of two, Polish (so excuse the accent and any odd turns of phrase!), and I run this Aussie biz from beautiful New Zealand.
One thing you can’t live without in this job?
My calendar. And phone charger.
